Update the birthday for existing customers
There are 2 ways to edit the CSV file for importing customer data. One is to edit from our template file, and the other is to edit from the customer data file after exporting. Both ways are equally easy to execute. Below, I will guide yous guys on how to edit the exported customer data file.
Add points to existing customer balances
With "Add points to existing customer balances", the values in the Points column will be added to the current points of the customers. Values without signs will default to adding points.
For example, if the value in the Points column is 100, the customer will receive an additional +100 points. If the value in the Points column is -300, the customer will have 300 points deducted.
Step 1: Application > Customer > Import
Step 2: Select the first option at Import Action and then upload the file before hitting the Import button. You will get an email notification once the imporation is completed.
FAQ: Does adjusting a customer's points affect their tier status?
Currently, adjusting a customer's points does not affect their tier status. The customer's tier will only change according to the settings in VIP Tier or if you manually adjust the tier on the customer's detailed information page.
Reset existing customer's point balances
To reset existing customers' point balances, update the points column to reflect the desired reward points for each customer.
Step 1: Application > Customer > Import
Step 2: Select the second option at Import Action and then upload the file before hitting the Import button. You will get an email notification once the imporation is completed.
Update the birthday for existing customers
Step 1: Application > Customer > Import tab
Step 2: At Import action, select Update birthday for existing customers. You will get an email notification once the importation is completed.
Important note:
You must name the column 'Birthday(MM/DD)'.
You must enter data in the format MM/DD (xx month/ xx date), for example: 03/03 is the correct format, while 3/3 is incorrect."
