The Joy Loyalty and integration creates tiered product access based on customer loyalty status. When connected, these apps work together to manage exclusive shopping experiences through automated customer tagging. As customers move up loyalty tiers, they gain access to exclusive products and collections you've designated for their tier level, creating a powerful incentive system that rewards your most loyal customers.
This integration transforms your loyalty program by adding exclusivity as a tangible benefit. Your customers gain compelling reasons to reach and maintain higher loyalty tiers to access exclusive products. This drives increased engagement with your loyalty program while boosting purchase frequency and average order values. The tiered access system also naturally segments your customers based on their purchasing behavior, allowing for more targeted marketing.
Before setting up this integration, you need:
An active Joy Loyalty account with configured
The app installed on your Shopify store
Products or collections you want to make exclusive to certain tiers
Setting up product exclusivity for your VIP tiers involves three main steps: enabling automatic customer tagging, configuring tier privileges in Joy Loyalty, and setting up product restrictions in Order Limit.
Scroll down to the Tier settings section
For the tier you want to configure (e.g., Bronze), click the "Add privileges" button
From the privileges options, select Exclusive products / collections
Click "Install" in the banner to install or connect with the Avada Order Limit app
Click open Order Limit App
Navigate to the Limits management > Create new limit > Product limit
Name Your Limit: Enter a descriptive name for your limit (e.g., "Gold Tier Exclusive Products")
Select Customer Tags to Limit: Use the search field to find and select the VIP tier tags you want to exclude (e.g., find and exclude "bronze-tier" and "silver-tier" tags if creating Gold tier exclusives)
Select Products to Limit
Choose whether to apply limits to:
All products (not recommended for tier exclusivity)
Specific products (recommended for creating tier-exclusive items)
If choosing specific products, select the products or collections you want to make exclusive to this tier
Here are some effective ways to use tier-based product exclusivity:
New product early access
Give your top-tier customers first access to new products before they're available to everyone.
Create a "New Arrivals VIP" collection
Set up Order Limit to restrict this collection to only Gold tier members
After 7 days, remove the restriction
Communicate this early access benefit to all loyalty members
Limited edition products
Create special products only available to higher-tier members.
Create limited edition or custom products
Use Order Limit to make these products exclusively available to Silver and Gold tier members
Highlight these exclusive products in your marketing to drive tier upgrades
Purchase quantity advantages
Allow higher tiers to purchase more of limited-quantity items.
For a limited edition product, set maximum purchase quantities based on tier:
Regular customers: 1 item maximum
Silver tier: 2 items maximum
Gold tier: 3 items maximum
