There are times when you may want to exclude certain custom products, such as tips or extra fees on POS, from earning loyalty points. This guide will walk you through the steps to set up exclusions for these products, ensuring that items like “wrapping fees” or other custom charges are not included in your loyalty program.

How to set up

By default, custom products are included in the earning programs, but you have the option to exclude them. You can choose to exclude custom products either from your online store or from POS transactions.

For POS, this is especially useful when adding items like wrapping fees, plastic bag fees, or tips. In an online store, it’s less common for customers to add custom products to their cart, with tips being the most frequent exception. Once you select your preferred options and save, the exclusion rule will apply to future orders.
