For Shopify merchants, driving engagement and expanding your customer base is key to growing a successful loyalty program. With Joy’s Sign Up & Referrals Widgets, you can seamlessly capture new sign-ups and motivate your existing customers to bring in their friends.
In this guide, we’ll walk you through setting up these two powerful widgets to enhance customer interaction and loyalty.
Before diving into setup, it’s essential to understand how the Sign Up and Referrals widgets operate within your loyalty program.
The Sign Up widget prompts customers who have made a purchase but haven’t yet registered an account to do so, earning reward points in the process.
On the other hand, Referrals widget encourages existing customers to invite their friends, allowing them to earn rewards when their referrals make a purchase.
Both the Sign Up Widget and Referral Widget settings are located in the Branding settings. To enable these options, open the Joy application > select Branding > choose the widget you need to set up.
Branding Colors: You can either use Joy Loyalty’s pre-designed templates or choose "Custom" and set your store’s branding colors. If you opt for custom colors, you have the option to select between Custom Solid Color and Custom Gradient Color. If you prefer not to use a color background, you can upload your own image.
For image uploads, we recommend an image size with a 2:1 ratio (400 x 200px) and a file size under 200kb.
Theme Text Color: The color of the text in the theme.
Button Color: The button’s color.
Button Text Color: The text color on the button.
Font: Select the font used for the Sign Up Widget.
Referral Widget Setup:
Branding Widget: Similar to the branding settings of the Sign Up Widget.
For the Referral Widget, you can set different widget types to display on your store based on different scenarios:
Referral Popup: Displayed to the referrer, allowing them to enter a friend’s email address.
Referral Rewards: Displayed to the referee, showing the reward and allowing them to enter their email to receive the coupon.
Referral Success Notification: Displayed to the referee. This widget shows the reward for the invited friend, displaying a code that they can claim and use on your store immediately.
By leveraging the Sign Up and Referrals widgets, you create a seamless and engaging customer experience that not only increases loyalty but also expands your customer base through word-of-mouth referrals.
