This feature is available for Professional, Advanced, and Enterprise plans.
Customer Login is a transformative feature within Joy Loyalty, designed to provide a smooth transition for customers who were automatically registered through in-store POS purchases. By allowing these customers to link their accounts with an email and password, this feature ensures uninterrupted access to loyalty points and rewards, fostering an enhanced customer experience both in-store and online.
When customers shop in-store, POS systems automatically create accounts using their phone numbers. While this allows immediate participation in loyalty programs, these accounts lack the credentials required for online access, such as email addresses and passwords. Consequently, customers face barriers when attempting to continue their loyalty journey online. This gap can disrupt the customer experience, causing confusion and disengagement, and ultimately reducing participation in the loyalty program.
The Customer Login feature bridges this gap by enabling customers to link their existing phone-number-based accounts with an email and password. This ensures:
Seamless Online Access: Customers can log in to their accounts on your website, preserving their earned points and rewards.
Improved User Experience: Customers can easily update their account information and enjoy uninterrupted participation in the loyalty program.
Streamlined Transition: The “Create a linked account” option on the Login and Sign-Up Pages makes the process intuitive, reducing friction and encouraging continued engagement.

For a customer to link their email with a phone number, they need to follow three steps:
Select Create a Linked Account, enter the phone number and email, then verify the email.
Set a new password.
Log in and start using the loyalty program.
After linking the email to the account, merchant can check customers' information in customer portal.

Setting up the Customer Login is straightforward. Follow these steps to ensure your customers have uninterrupted access to your loyalty program:
Enable Customer Login in Joy Loyalty
Open the Joy Loyalty app and navigate to Branding.
Select Setup Customer Login to begin configuration.
Add Joy: Account Invite Block to the Sign-Up Page
You will be redirected to the Sign-Up Page settings.
Click Add Block, then go to the Apps section and choose Joy: Account Invite.
Place the block in your desired position on the page and save your changes.
Add Joy: Account Invite Block to the Login Page
For optimal user experience, repeat the process for the Login Page.
Click the Account Icon to navigate to the Login Page.
Add the Joy: Account Invite block by following the same steps above and saving your settings.
