Understanding the rule

When the Sign-Up Block is enabled, it will appear after a guest (a user who hasn’t logged in) completes a purchase.

This block provides two options:

  1. Sign Up – Join the loyalty program and start earning points.

  2. Sign In – Log in to collect rewards if already a member.

How to Set Up

Navigate to Branding, and select Sign Up Block

Customize Sign up block settings

Enable the Sign Up block

Go to the Joy app settings and click Enable to activate the block. This will direct you to your Shopify theme settings.

In Shopify Theme, navigate to Sections.

Click Add App Block.

Select Joy: Sign-Up Block to integrate it into your store.

Adjust the position of the Sign Up Block

Open the Shopify Theme Editor.

In the settings panel on the left, find the Sign-Up Block.

Drag and drop the block to your preferred location.

Click Save

Important note

For merchants who want to customize their store's login and sign-up links:

  1. Click on the option: "Custom login link if using Shopify 'New customer account' mode. Click here to set up."

  2. You will be directed to the widget settings.

  3. Customize the links for both login and sign-up as needed.

The Sign-Up Block feature only works if guests are allowed to earn points when placing orders.

How It Works:

  • When a guest makes a purchase and your store has enabled guest point earning, a sign-up banner will appear after checkout.

  • Customers can register an account using the same email they used for the purchase to claim their points.

  • Once registered, the guest’s points will be transferred to their new member account.

  • If this feature is not enabled, the sign-up banner will not function.

How to Enable 'Reward Points for Guest':

  1. Go to the Joy app settings.

  2. Find the 'Reward Points for Guest' option.

  3. Enable the feature to allow guests to earn points.
