Reward by order status

Choose when an order counts as completed before rewards are granted — when it's Paid or when it's Fulfilled. Applies to order points and referral rewards.

Choose when an order counts as completed before rewards are granted — when it's Paid or when it's Fulfilled. This applies to all order-based rewards: points earned from orders and referral rewards.

  • Paid — Reward the customer once they pay for their order.
  • Fulfilled — Reward the customer once their order is fulfilled.

This setting governs both order points-earning and referral rewards, so they share the same timing. It does not affect sign-up, birthday, or review rewards.

How to set it

Go to your Joy app → Settings → Order.

Under Reward by order status, select Paid or Fulfilled.

Click Save to apply.

When you reward on Fulfilled, two extra options become available — Display awaiting points and Lock earning conditions at order creation.

Referral rewards

Referral rewards follow this same setting. If you reward on Fulfilled, a referred order that's paid but not yet fulfilled shows as Awaiting fulfillment — not Pending — and the reward is granted automatically once you fulfill the order. See Referral flow explained.
