Troubleshooting

Check which alerts are sending, and fix the common reasons an alert doesn't arrive.

Check what's sending

Click Sending summary at the top right of the Notifications page. It shows which alerts are actually reaching shoppers right now, and on which channel: Email, Apple Wallet and Google Wallet. The number next to it shows how many alerts are sending, out of the total.

Open How a Wallet pass alert is decided to see what has to be true for a Wallet pass alert to send.

To run a full test of an alert, see Test it yourself.

Common issues

Q: Why hasn't any email gone out?
A: Check Sending summary first. If Back in stock shows Off, open it and make sure it's Enabled and saved. With Send at a set time, emails wait for the next send time in each shopper's local time. Also check that the product is in your Apply to list.

Q: Why does the recipient estimate show 0?
A: It counts shoppers who saved a matching item, have an email, and agreed to receive emails. If no one qualifies yet, it stays at 0. Turn on the Notify me button to collect sign-ups.

Q: Why don't shoppers see the Notify me button on a product?
A: Check these in order:

  • Notify me button is turned on in Back in stock, and the product is in your Apply to list.
  • The option shows Sold out on your store. A product that keeps selling when out of stock, or doesn't track inventory, never shows Sold out.
  • Your store ships to the shopper's country. Joy Wishlist hides the button for shoppers you can't ship to.
