Just like naming your points currency, changing the prefix of your discount codes can further personalize and brand your loyalty program. Typically, when customers redeem rewards, they receive a discount code with a default "JOY-" prefix. Previously, customization of this prefix was possible for each individual redeeming program. However, to streamline this process, we have now introduced a unified setting that allows for consistent prefix customization across all redeeming programs. You have the flexibility to choose between using this unified prefix setting or applying specific settings for different programs.
The best way to seamlessly update the prefix across all programs is to update the Setting > General > Discount code's prefix
. This setting will act as a default, fallback value for the prefix for the discount.
Besides configuring the general discount prefix, you can customize the discount code prefix inside each program. By choosing the Use discount code prefix option, you can give a tailored prefix for each program such as STARS-PERF-
, which could mean a prefix for the percentage discount code.
To maintain consistency and enhance your brandβs visibility across different rewards and programs, you can customize the prefixes for your discount codes. Below is a list of all possible discount code prefixes that are configurable within our system:
Redeeming Program Prefix Code: Customize the prefix for codes generated when customers redeem points for discounts.
VIP Tier Rewards Prefix Code: Set a unique prefix for discount codes that are exclusive to your VIP tier rewards.
Free Shipping and Free Gift Prefix Code: Define prefixes for codes used in free shipping or free gift promotions.
Referral Discount Code Prefix: Establish a distinct prefix for discount codes generated through referral programs.
Customizing your discount code prefixes helps strengthen your brand identity across all aspects of your loyalty program. By leveraging unified or program-specific settings, you can ensure consistency and clarity in your promotions, making each interaction more memorable for your customers.
