What are Notification Emails?

Joy automatically sends emails to customers when their reward points change — whether they earn, redeem, or reach new milestones. No manual effort needed.

Notifications apply to:

  • Reward Programs: Earn points, Redeem points, Birthday rewards, POS point redemption.

  • Referral Programs: Coupons for referrers and friends.

  • VIP Tiers: Notify customers when they reach VIP status.

  • Points Expiry: Reminders for expiring points.

Email Sender Options

Choose how to send notification emails:

  • Use Joy’s default sender.

  • Custom sender address.

  • Own SMTP for full control.

How to Customize Email Templates

Edit Template

Go to a program (e.g., Earn Points), click Edit on the email template

Customize Design & Content

Change Subject, Content, Call-to-Action Text, and upload your logo

Use Variables for Personalization

Available variables:

  • {{shop_name}}: Store name

  • {{earning_points}}: Points earned

  • {{earning_program}}: Program name

  • {{customer_name}}: Customer's name

  • {{customer_email}}: Customer's email

Preview & Test

Click Send Test, input your email, and check how it looks before going live

Managing Sent Emails

Go to Notifications > Manage Notifications

  • Search by customer email

  • Filter by status: Sent, Opened, Clicked, Failed.
